Started my morning with a walk on the beach. I had already done my food prep all I had to do was cook the turkey. Since it was just Aidan and I, a turkey breast was all that was needed. I didn't want to roast a whole bird when both of us like the breast meat. We had glazed ham, turkey, Jamaican rice and peas, green beans, and dinner rolls.
First course, Butternut squash soup. It was tasty but in my opinion it is missing something, so I will have to make it a couple of times in order to figure out what it is. Aidan spent most of the morning in his underwear but when I started taking photos of the soup, he stepped into the phone booth and came out in a shirt, tie and tuxedo pants! He carved the turkey for the first time and did a great job. I tried to find the smallest ham, but did not succeed. We will be eating ham for days.
later that eve we had dessert, tiramisu and ginger pumpkin pudding cakes. We shared the tiramisu because it is a bit too much for one person. Aidan said he could easily have eaten all of it himself. We will have the ginger cakes another day. Hope you had a wonderful day with your friends and family.
